The breezy spring concert was a blend of classical, jazz and pop
conducted by Maestro Alan Aurelia and hosted by Community Relations
Associate Kevin Ryan.
The concert featured classical works performed by the orchestra,
jazz numbers performed by youth jazz band The After Effect and then
pieces played by the orchestra and the band together, filling the
Campus Center Gymnasium with rich, powerful music.
Vice President for Community Relations Joseph Sciame commented,
“Our annual Concerto di Primavera attracts many community guests
and this was special, for it combined the classic pieces of music
in symphony, complimented by some outstanding young jazz musicians.
It’s always a day of pleasant music on our beautiful Staten Island
campus.”
