St. John’s University continued two holiday traditions this
season as the Queens campus hosted its 19th Annual Christmas
Concert on December 9 and the Staten Island Campus presented “The
Nutcracker” and “Swan Lake” at its Sixth Annual Christmas Concert
on December 10.
The Queens event featured old and new holiday favorites
performed by the University Mixed Chorus, Nassau Pops Symphony
Orchestra and a special performance by Thomas Stallone and Rinaldo
Toglia. Santa Claus made his annual appearance, much to the
delight of many young fans in attendance.
On Sunday, guests were treated to productions of “The
Nutcracker” and “Swan Lake” performed by the New American Youth
Ballet and a holiday performance by the Richmond County Orchestra,
conducted by Maestro Alan Aurelia.
