Italian Heritage and Cultural Month will kick off at St. John's
University in Marillac Hall Auditorium Tuesday, November 1,
with "A Salute to Giuseppe Mazzini", an Italian patriot, sponsored
by the Office of Community Relations in cooperation with the
Honorable Helen Marshall, President of the Borough of Queens.
The evening's program includes salutations by Cav. Louis
Carnesecca, Chair of the Italian Cultural Center with
an invocation by Rev. Michael Hilbert, S.J..
Proclamation and Awards will be presented by Honorable
Helen Marshall, President of the Borough of
Queens to distinguished Italian Americans for their
contributions to the community.
Guests of the evening will enjoy Il Concerto: Coro del
Lunedi - "An Evening of music Tribute to Giuseppe
Mazzini" followed by Venetian Hour in Marillac
Hall Terrace.
Admission is free. However, registration is required to ensure
seating availability. Pre-Registration form deadline is
October 27, 2005.
