SUN, an Italian based music group, is a trio founded by: Dario
Sulei (voice and percussion), Alessandro Palacino (keyboard) and
Diego Spitaleri (piano and keyboard). Organized in 1995, SUN
realized its first CD entitled Ethnicity, produced by
Giungla Records and distributed by R.T.I., and re-printed by the
"Teatro del Sole."
The music of this trio is of the "new age," with definite
Mediterranean connotations, which open with strong ethnical and
jazz suggestions. It concerns a synthesis which intends to find its
own balance, using the most actual musical sounds in order to
construct its own sonorous dimension. An important aspect of
SUN's research concerns its vocal integration, in its musical
sounds as well as in its most advanced forms, and in its musical
and instrumental form.
In the course of its many recitals, the group SUN has performed
at numerous concerts, participating in various festivals and
reviews, among which are the following:
- Marsala Jazz Festival
- Music Against War
- Ibson Stage Festival of Norway
- Youth for Peace Process
