Our Mission
For more than 142 years, St. John's University has fostered a
strong sense of commitment toward its neighbors.
The Office of Community Relations is dedicated to understanding
and serving the communities that border its campuses in the greater
New York area. The Office also maintains ties with communities
adjacent to the University's Oakdale, NY, location.
Through its community outreach, the Office has been able to
open lines of communication with community boards, civic
associations, local leaders, churches and Borough Halls.
The Office also oversees several annual community related projects
that help to address community needs.
Business groups and cultural societies, health organizations and
houses of worship -- groups like these promote the strength of New
York City's diverse communities across the metropolitan area.
The Office of Community Relations of St. John's University
is there to help and assist with regard to it's partnership with
the community at large. The Office partners with many local
