Department Showcase Series
This series of presentations is intended to give University community members a better understanding of the functions and services provided by the many departments of the University. St. John's University Office of Human Resources created the Series to generate opportunities for cross-departmental learning and to raise awareness of services available to students across the University. By attending several showcases, employees gain an improved sense of the connections that exist among departments , and this knowledge can help them when responding to student needs and by improving efficiency of service delivery overall.
Each showcase presentation features a St. John’s University department, college or student service and describes that area’s functions, programs, services, recent accomplishments, and connections in support of the University’s strategic initiatives. Further, showcase presentations allow the featured departments to share upcoming events, new initiatives, and describe interdependencies with other University departments. All staff, administrators and faculty members are welcome and encouraged to attend these sessions.
